Text Box: Dear Amarillo Bowlers,
The Fall/Spring season is half over.  It seems like yesterday that I was welcoming everyone back.  I hope that you have had an enjoyable experience so far.  The Amarillo USBC Association has completed four tournaments already and have four more scheduled for the remainder of the season.  Next up is our Junior City Tournament on February 14th & 15th at Western Bowl.  After that, our next tournament will be the 1st Annual Men’s City Tournament on February 28th/March 1st and March 7th/8th at Eastridge Lanes.   Following that will be the 3rd Annual Women’s City Tournament March 28th/29th and April 4th/5th at Western Bowl.  And our final tournament will be the 2nd Annual Mixed Invitational Benefit Tournament May 9th/10th and May 16th/17th at both Eastridge Lanes and Western Bowl.  We hope that you have enjoyed the tournaments so far and hope you will participate in one or more of the remaining tournaments.
We have scheduled our annual membership meeting for April 26th at 3 pm at the Southwest Library Branch.  This is an important meeting for our membership.  The most important part of the meeting will be electing new Directors to represent you.  We hope that you will attend.  I would like to make a special invitation to anyone who enjoys the sport of bowling and would be interested in helping the bowlers of Amarillo/Canyon succeed to apply for a Director’s position.  Forms will be available at both Western Bowl and Eastridge soon.  We are looking for people who are interested in helping the sport of bowling grow in our area and will be committed to fulfilling their obligation as a Director.  We are especially looking for Youth bowlers to become Directors.  Your input is valuable to growing our sport.
Finally, bowlers we need your comments.  Your Board of Directors is working hard to make your bowling experience enjoyable and entertaining.  We are planning tournaments and discussing issues that affect bowlers and the growth of the sport.  Without you, we would not have organized bowling in Amarillo and the surrounding areas.  So, please plan to come to the annual membership meeting or talk to any of your Directors with any ideas that you may have to improve your bowling experience.  The only dumb idea was the one that was never heard, so let us hear from you!!!  Plus if you are interested in volunteering your time for any of our events, please let us know.  Volunteers are always welcome and appreciated.

Warm Regards,
Lee Redd
President, Amarillo USBC Association
